What do I need to become a driver?
First you need a positive attitude towards people, an open mind, and pleasant demeanor. Since travellers mostly speak English, you’ll need to master the language as well. You’ll also need a car, which can be yours or rented.
What kind of car do I need?
The car should be no more than 10 years old, well maintained, and comfortable for the customer. A Volkswagen Passat or Touran are good examples. We offer customers the option of a sedan, MPV, or van depending on their needs. The car can be yours, or rented if you’d like to serve other vehicle categories.
How is Daytrip different from ridesharing apps?
Each trip is less stressful and more profitable. You spend a whole day with one group of guests instead of constantly waiting for new rides. You also get to meet interesting people from many different countries, with whom you can share insights about your culture. Each trip is different and you get to visit places that may have been unknown to you, even as a local.
Where should I live to apply?
We’re quickly growing throughout the world. Just tell us what city you’re from and we’ll find out which routes are relevant to your location, or contact you once we’re expanding to your region.
What are the formal requirements?
You’ll need the appropriate business licence valid for your country. Please contact us for more information on what’s required and how to obtain it. We’ll also do a background check of your criminal and driving records.
